Backup and Disaster Recovery
Protect your data on and offsite
We take backup very seriously and believe our service is comprehensive.
- All Data is stored in the UK.
- All Data is encrypted.
Your user data is the most important element to backup. However, this does not include the underlying server operating system and all the settings. Whilst these can all be re-created; it is very time consuming. Therefore, with our backup solution, we take complete server images. With this type of backup, we can recover singles files and folders, multiple files and folders, or your entire domain, including all servers; should a disaster happen.
The backup system is automated: you do not have to spend any time setting it up or monitoring the system. We check the log files on a daily basis.
Additionally, the server images are stored onsite, for fast backup and recovery, as well as offsite, for complete peace of mind. At all times, we have at least 2 copies of your data.
Don’t just protect the data you have in school, also backup your email and cloud data. Microsoft and Google are NOT responsible for data backups, you are!
With our Cloud backup service we can back up all your mailboxes, OneDrive data, SharePoint Sites, Teams files and Google data.

There is Wi-Fi and there is Wi-Fi: you know how good your Wi-Fi really is when a classroom full of students all login at the same time.
Frequently, we’re asked to diagnose why only half the students are able to log in whilst the other half are watching a progress bar or, as it’s sometimes referred to as “the circle of doom”.
Read the marketing material of most Wi-Fi manufacture’s and they will tell you the each one of their access points can handle up to 250 or more clients. The reality however can be very different.

Office 365

Basic packages from Microsoft 365 are free to schools. But it’s up to schools to configure the setup of their Teams and SharePoint sites. Then there are the user accounts, security groups and policies.
Inspired ICT can help you setup and manage your 365 environment. We can also supply the useful licences for those add-on features like Microsoft Bookings for parent’s evenings.
If you are using 365 for storing important documents and email: make sure you also back them up: Microsoft is NOT responsible for this. They provide a service, not data backup.

Software Patching
Keeping your software up to date
Viruses, Malware Ransomware pose a real threat. Loopholes and software bugs are often exploited, so keeping your software up to date is vital.
With so many computers in a school, keeping them up to date is difficult and hard to monitor. Microsoft WSUS: a product provided free of charge and is designed to patch Microsoft software. Great IF you can get it working, but it can be tricky to set up and there is not a great deal of accurate reporting. Additionally, it will also not patch any 3rd party software such as Adobe or Chrome or Java etc. It only patches Microsoft software.
